Solo Escape To Serenity : My Travel Journey To Urmodi Dam Satara

 Solo Travel Trip

Urmodi Dam

I had always wanted to go on a solo trip, and
Urmodi Dam near Satara was the perfect choice. Just 14 km from Satara, it's located near Parali village at the base of Sajjangad Fort - peaceful and easy to  reach.

I rode my two-wheeler and reached n about two hours. The best time to visit is during the monsoon(June to September),when the dam is full and surroundings are lush green .November to February is also pleasant with mild weather.

As soon as I arrived, I felt a deep sense of calm. There were no crowds or noise - just the soothing sound o water. I took some photos and videos while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

Nearby attractions include Sajjangad Fort, Varjai and Thoseghar Waterfall, and Kas Plateau. there are local hotels and tent stays for longer visit.

Since mine was a one-day trip, I had a quick meal nearby and returned home feeling refreshed. After many months, this solo trip was truly special. If you're planning one, I highly recommend visiting Urmodi Dam.

Trekking To Jarandeshwar : Exploring the Hills Of Satara

Jarandeshwar : Exploring the Hills Of Satara

I had been planning to go trekking for a long time, and since today was Sunday, I decided to on a trek with my friends. Jarandeshwar Trekking is quite challenging, but it's also a historical place. This way my first trek, on Jarandeshwar and the energy was a different, providing a unique experience. The place is known for the Jarandeshwar Temple, and the mountain is referred to as jarandeshwar Parvat. During festivals like Hanuman janmostav and Ram Navami, many people visit the place. There are temples dedicated to Hanuman and Ramchandra, and on top of the hill, there is also a Shivling.

Jarandeshwar Temple

This is my first time trekking here, and it took me about 4 hour to reach the top. The trek is about 18 kilometers from Satara. You can reach the starting point by bus or on a two-wheeler. I carried water, snacks, and a few other essentials in my bag for the trek. After the trek, I was quite hungry, and I made sure to take my camera to capture the beauty of the nature along the way.

The best time to visit Jarandeshwar is between October and February, as the weather is pleasant and the greenery is abundant, making it an ideal time for trekking. If you want to experience this unforgettable trek, you should definitely visit Jarandeshwar Temple once.

Travelling To Pune, and Unexpectedly, Travelling Back In Time

Travelling To Pune : Unexpected Memory

Today, I had an interview in Pune. I was planning to travel to Pune by bus. I went to the bus stand and luckily found an early morning bus right away. I boarded the bus and, unexpectedly, got a big surprise - I met an old school friend on the bus with whom I had completely lost contact.

We were meeting after so many years! We sat together and talked a lot about our old memories, refreshing all those school days. While chatting, we didn't even realize when we reached Pune.

My interview was a bit late, so she suggested that we go somewhere to eat. She knew many good place in Pune for food. After we had a great meal, she even took me to visit one of Pune's famous temples - the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple.

We had a wonderful darshan there. After that, since it was time for my interview, she dropped me at the interview location.

Because of this interview, I not only traveled to Pune but also got a chance to reconnect with my old school friend and relive beautiful memories. Meeting her gave me immense happiness and satisfaction.

The Iskcon Temple During My Travel In Satara Today

 Visited Iskon Temple In Satara

Today I had a holiday from my office, so my friend and I decided to go out somewhere. However, we couldn't really decide where to go.

Initially, we thought about heading towards Kas. but then suddenly it struck us - why not visit the ISKCON temple?

without wasting any time, we felt immediately changed out route and decided to visit the temple.

When we reached there, we felt an immense sense of peace.

The temple premises were extremely clean, and as soon as we entered, we felt very positive and calm. There was a strong, positive energy flowing all around. Inside the temple, the first thing we saw, was the beautiful idols of Radha ad Krishna. Seeing them filled my heart with emotions and deep satisfaction.

The atmosphere inside was truly devotional - everyone was engrossed in prayers ad devotion. We too closed our eyes for a while and completely immersed ourselves in the divine experience.

After the darshan, we were offered prasad, which added to the blissful experience.

The temple was truly beautiful, and visiting it created a different kind of energy within me - it filled my heart with positivity and devotion.

So, if you ever visit Satara, make sure to visit the ISKCON temple.

You should not miss it - it's definitely worth experiencing!

A Sweet and Chilled Discovery During My Satara Journey

A Sweet and Chilled Discovery During My Satara Journey

Travel is not just about reaching a destination; it's about experiencing the small moments along the way. Being a resident of Satara myself., a few days ago, I set to explore a part of my own city. Sometimes, even on familiar streets, discovering something new brings a special  kind of joy. It was a hot afternoon - the sun blazing down - and I found myself craving something sweet and refreshingly cold.

While strolling along, I stumbled upon a quaint little place called Tamjai Ice-Cream Parlor. The shop was simple yet charming. The sweet fragrance of fresh fruits wafting through the air pulled me towards. As I stepped inside, a colorful world of ice cream flavors welcomed me - chocolate, strawberry, mango, custard apple, and many more. Choosing just one was a challenge! Eventually, I decided on a scoop of fresh mango ice cream. With the very first bite, the rich,  sweet flavor made me forget the sweltering heat outside.

In the moment, I realized - during travel, it's often the unplanned discoveries that bring the most joy. This small stroll through Satara turned even sweeter thanks to this humble yet delightful ice cream parlor. Next time you wander through Satara, make sure to pause, explore, and lose yourself in such little sweet moments.

Many people visit to see these flowers and enjoy the natural surroundings - I was one of them, along with my friends. We planned a trip to Kaas, and our group had 8 members. It took us about an hour to reach Kaas from Satara. After reaching, the first place we went to was the lake. There's a big lake there where we took lots of photos and videos, and we even played in the water for a while. Later, everyone started feeling hungry. Some of us had brought homemade food, so we all sat down to eat and shared whatever we had brought in our tiffin.
After lunch, we played a few games and then went back to the lake again to spend some more time. Eventually, it started getting late, so we decided to head back home.

Kaas Plateau is truly the natural beauty of Satara, because of its stunning landscape. many people from different cities come here to visit. If you haven't been there yet, you should definitely plan a visit to our Kaas Plateau! for more here the Map to reach there!

From Trails To Thunder : Thoseghar Waterfall Satara

                                            Thoseghar Diaries

Today, as it was a holiday, I wasn't sure where to go, but then one place came to my mind - Thoseghar Waterfall. Visiting a waterfall in the summer season is something completely different. I was with my two friends, and we decided to go on a trip. We left on our two-wheeler scooter. Thoseghar Waterfall is located not far from here, and it took us about 25 minutes to reach the place.

When we arrived, we had to purchase tickets to enter the area. After getting the tickets, we entered the area, and as soon we stepped in, we saw the waterfall for the first time. it was massive ad absolutely beautiful. The air was cool and refreshing, with a pleasant chill around the waterfall. We took lot of photos and even made videos to capture the moment. We stayed there for quite a while, soaking in the beauty, but soon, everyone started feeling hungry, so we headed t a nearby hotel for lunch. The food was delicious and  satisfying.

After our meal, we returned to the waterfall area to enjoy the view once again. The scenery  was so breathtaking that I didn't even feel like leaving. The waterfall was huge ad deep, making the entire experience unforgettable. We truly enjoyed every moment there.

Thoseghar Waterfall, located just a short distance from Satara, attracts many visitors, especially during the holidays, who come to relax and experience the beauty of nature. I highly recommend visiting this spot. It's and experience you won't regret!

                                                                In Chaphal

It was around the time of Ram Navami, and I had planned to visit the Famous Ram Temple in Chaphal for darshan. I decided to travel from Satara to Chaphal, and my mother accompanied me on this journey. We had planned to travel by Bus to Chaphal, and we needed to catch the bus from the St stand. After waiting for quite some time, we finally found a bus, and we set off our destination.

It took us about 1 hour to reach Chaphal. Once we arrived, we had a small meal before heading  towards the Famous Ram Temple in Chaphal. Upon arriving at the temple. I felt very happy and content. The temple, where Samarth Ramdas Sami had established the idol of Lord Ram, is truly beautiful. The temple and the idol are magnificent. There was a large crowd at the temple because it is a very well-known place, and many people travel long distance to have the darshan of Lord Ram's idol here.
Our darshan was wonderful, and after that, we began our journey back to Satara. However, I consider it a great fortune that I got to have the darshan of Lord Ram's idol in Chaphal on Ram Navami.

 A Blessed Travel To Kolhapur

If had been a long time since I wanted to visit the famous temples in Kolhapur - The Mahalaxmi Temple and  the Jyotiba Temple - but the opportunity never came. However, today, that long awaited wish was finally fulfilled, and I got the chance. Today, I had the darshan of the deities in Kolhapur.

I traveled with my family from Satara to Kolhapur. It took us about 3 hours to reach, but the moment we arrived at the temple, all the tiredness from the journey vanished. We first visited the Mahalaxmi Temple. Since it was a Sunday, there was a huge crowd as many people as many people had come for darshan. Despite the crowd, we had a wonderful darshan, and it felt truly peaceful.

After that, we went to the Jyotiba Temple. There too, there was a large crowd because Sunday is considered a special day for Jyotiba. Still, we managed to have an amazing darshan there as well.

After completing the darshan, we went to my sister's house in kolhapur since she lives there. She had prepared lunch for us, and we all ate together. After spending some time with her, we said our goodbyes and started our journey back to satara.

Overall, the long-awaited desire in my heart - to have the darshan of these divine places - was fulfilled today. It brought a deep sense of peace and satisfaction to my heart.

In the Lap Of Nature: Travel to My Grandmother's Village

A journey to my grandmother's village

We were getting close to my Ajji's village, and we had decided to make this trip two years before the actual planned pilgrimage. There's something about going to Ajji's village - just hearing the name makes everyone excited. I felt that same excitement too because I was going to the village after a long time.

The day of journey arrived. We woke up early in the morning and left by bus. My Ajji's village is called Tadasar, which is a bit past Vita. It usually takes about 2 to 3 hours to reach there. The bus was moving very slowly and kept stopping frequently. As soon as I sat in the bus, I started feeling a little nauseous, so, I ended up sleeping through most of the ride.

We got down at a place called Kadegaon, since there's no direct bus to Tadasar. From that bus stop , we had to catch another bus, which took about 15 minutes to reach Tadasar.

Finally, we reached. As we walked through the village, we kept bumping into people who knew my mother, so we got delayed reaching home. Once we got there, the first thing I did was drink cold water from the fridge - it was really hot, and I was extremely thirsty from the heat.

After that, Ajji served us a delicious hot meal. Once lunch was done, we went out for a walk in the evening. As the sun set, we returned home. After dinner, we all sat and chatted for a while. I was very sleepy because the journey had tried me out, so I went to bed early. A little later, everyone else went to sleep too.

Though the journey was long, reaching Ajji's village made it all feel worth it. It was truly a joyful experience.

Work off, chill on : Office To My Friend's Home Diaries

Office To my Friend's Diaries

Today, as usual, I went to the office. All the work was done quickly, so my sir said I could leave early. And the main thing was, there was a holiday for my class as well. So I thought, what should I do after reaching home so early?

Then my friend suggested we go to her place. Her house is in the Kondhave areas of Satara. We went there on my scooter, and it took us around 15 to 20 minutes to get there. When we reached her place, I saw that she lives in a really nice apartment. There's a garden for small kids and a big hall where all the events are organized. It was a really nice society.

Then we went to her house. Her home was also really amazing, ad the best part -- she had my favorite animals, cats! There were 2-3 cats and even little kittens. I had so much fun playing with them.

Then her mom served us hot poha and tea. The poha was really testy. After that, we roamed around in the garden, She showed me the entire - apartment - it was such a beautiful place. I didn't even realize how time passes. It started getting dark, and then I got a call from my mom asking why I was late and to come home soon.

So, we went back to her place, said goodbye to everyone, and then I headed back home.

Evening Vibes & Divine Blessings : Satara Ganesh Temple

An Evening at the Ganesh Temple

Today was Sankashti Chaturthi, so I left the office early and came home because I wanted to visit the Ganesh temple. After reaching home and freshening up, I started walking towards the temple, which is just about 15 minutes away from my house.

The temple is one of the most famous Ganesh temples in Satara, also known as "Phutke Talav Ganesh Mandir Satara." My aunt accompanied me on the visit. We bought the pooja items from outside the temple and then went inside. The temple was beautifully decorated, and the Ganesh idol was adorned entirely with grapes. Even the prasad offered there was made of grapes.

My darshan(visit) was very peaceful and fulfilling. I felt truly connected and content. I also clicked some photos of the temple and the idol, which I am posting in the blog so you too can experience the divine presence of Lord Ganesh through these pictures. You must visit this temple!

Road to Routine : The Path From Home to Office

 Home to Office - A journey 😁

Today, like every day, I got ready and left home on time to go to the office. It usually takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to reach. But right in the middle of the way, I ran out of petrol. So I had to fill it first, which already delayed me a bit. After that, I quickly left for the office.

When I reached the office, I found it was locked. That's when I  remembered that the girl who works with me is on leave today. and she has the spare key to the office. So I immediately called my boss to inform him that the office was closed and the key was with her. I asked him how long it would take him to come since he also has a key. But it turned out he had gone to his village and said he'd be back in about half an hour.

So I sat outside the office from 10 AM, waiting Even after 2 hours., he hadn't arrived. I called him again to ask how much longer it would take, and he said he still needed more time . So I told him I'd do toady's work from home, and he agreed. After hanging up the call, I saw a gola(ice slush) vendor nearby. It was extremely hot, and I had been craving one, so I stopped him and bought a gola. It was refreshing!

Then on my way home, I passed by an ice cream center, and again, I couldn't resist. I stopped and had some ice cream. After that, I did a bit of shopping and finally went home.

Today's experience was very different - but honestly had a lot of fun!

Trekking Adventures in Satara : Best Trails for Every Explorer

 Best Trekking Adventures in Satara

My blog is about trekking because, I love to travel & trekking a lot, which is why I decided to write this blog.

There are many trekking places in Satara. I have always been passionate about trekking, and many people visit Satara from different places for trekking camps. Some of the famous trekking spots in Satara include Sajjangad Fort, Ajinkyatara Fort, Vardhangad, and many more.

I have trekked to Ajinkyatara and Sajjangad, and my experience was amazing.

- Sajjangad Fort

When I trekked to Sajjangad it took me about an hour to reach the top. Once I reached there, I saw beautiful temples. There was a temple dedicated to Lord Rama, along with idols of Goddess Devi and Lord Hanuman. Visiting the temple filled my heart with peace and happiness.

- Ajinkyatara Fort

Ajinkyatara Fort is a large and beautiful fort. There are two ways to reach the fort—one through a walking trail and another via stairs. As I explored the fort, the first thing I noticed was historical information about Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which I read with great interest. The information was fascinating and insightful. A little further ahead, I saw a temple where we took darshan (blessings). Walking ahead, we came across the Akashvani Kendra (radio station). As we continued the trek, we walked through a path surrounded by dense trees and forest. Finally, when we reached the highest point of the fort, the entire city of Satara was visible from the top. The breathtaking view made the trek even more special.

Since, I love to Travel & trekking so much, I will continue to explore new places in the future!
