 My Memorable Visit to Ganpatipule

Ganesh TempleBeach

Ganapatipule, known for its ancient Ganapati Temple and its pristine ad clean seashore, offers a unique experience that beautifully blends nature and spirituality. Ganapatipule is a famous tourist destination located in the Ratnagiri, about 25 kilometers away. During my visit to Ganapatipule, I was truly enchanted by the serene and spiritual atmosphere surrounding the temple. In winter, the climate here is quite cold, and there is often mist in the early mornings. Because of the beautiful sea and the sandy beach, there is always a crowd of enthusiastic tourist here. Ganapatipule also has an MTDC guest house operated by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation(MTDC), and accommodation can also be arranged at the homes of the temple priests. I also visited the nearby historic Jaigad Fort, which offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. the taste of the local kokani cuisine here was absolutely delightful! Watching the sunset in Ganapatipule was a truly memorable experience for me. Visiting this place allowed me to experience a rare blend of nature, spirituality, and tranquility. Ekiv Waterfall : A Nature Marvel In Satara

Ekiv Waterfall : A Nature Marvel In Satara

A Memorable rainy-day scooter trip to Ekiv Waterfall near Satara, filled with scenic rides, forest trails, delicious local food, and unforgettable fun with friends. It had been a long time since my friends and I wanted to visit a waterfall. So today, we finally decided to on a rainy trip to relax and enjoy nature. We hadn't really decided where to go, but we were sure we wanted to explore somewhere outdoors. One of my friends suggested that we should visit Ekiv Waterfall near Satara. The weather was perfect - cloudy skies and light rain made the idea even more exciting, and everyone instantly agreed.

Ekiv Waterfall
We searched online and found that it was a truly beautiful place, especially popular during the monsoon. Ekiv Waterfall is around 25 kilometers from Satara. All of us had our two-wheelers, mostly scooters, and a scooter ride in the rain added a thrilling vibe to our journey. There are two routes to reach Ekiv - one via Kas Road and the other via Medha Road. We decided to take take the Kas Road as it seemed better and more scenic.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ride through lush green surroundings. On the way, we were all very hungry, so we stopped at a roadside hotel to eat. After our meal, we continued our journey and finally reached the village of Ekiv. From there, there was a separate route to reach the waterfall. We parked our vehicles above and  walked through a forest trail to reach the waterfall.

Once we arrived, everyone immediately started taking photos and videos. Then we all jumped into the water an started playing. We spent almost 2 to 3 hours there. After that, we were all very hungry again, so we came out of the waterfall area and went to small local hotel nearby. They served authentic homemade-style food, which was really delicious.

After the meal, our trip came to an end, and we all headed back to our homes. But this trip was truly special - a mix of nature, adventure, and friendship. We all had an amazing time. It was a memorable rainy-day scooter ride and a trip we'll never forget. These are the map of the ekiv waterfall - click here go and enjoy with your family and friends!

Discovered While Roaming Satara Market: The Iconic Chandravilas Hotel

 The Iconic Chandravilas Hotel

Today, my sister ad I went to the market in the evening. But just as we were leaving the house, it started raining heavily. We had our raincoats with us, so we wore them and went to the market. After buying the items we needed and strolling around the market, I felt hungry near Moti Chowk, where there is a big hotel called Chandravilas. It's quite a large hotel. Since it was raining, we felt like eating something hot. So, my sister and I went inside the hotel.

They had a lot of variety on their menu, which made me a bit confuses. But I had heard that their dosa is very big and tastes really good., so I ordered that. My sister ordered dahi misal, which is also one of their famous dishes. It was going to take a while for our order to arrive, so in the meantime, we ordered some snacks to much on.

We tested the snacks. and soon our order arrived. I started eating the dosa I had ordered, and it tasted really amazing. The dahi misal that my sister ordered aslo tasted great. I testes a little bit of it too. After finishing our food, our coffee was served right away. Once we finished everything, we paid the bill and returned home.

The service at Chandravilas Hotel is excellent, and the hotel's interior is really nice. The quality of the food there is what attracts the crows, as the taste of the food is simply outstanding.

A Day Trek to Harihar Fort – For Nature and Thrill Lovers

A Day Trek to Harihar Fort – For Nature and Thrill Lovers

Me and my friends had been wanting to go on a trek to a fort for long time, and after browsing the internet for options, Harihar Fort immediately caught our interest due to its adventurous and thrilling climb. The steep stone-cut steps looked a bit difficult  but exciting, and we felt it would be a fun challenge. We planned the trek between June to September, as during this time the surroundings are lush green and the weather is perfect for trekking. We went by private vehicle and chose the Harshewadi route, which is slightly easier and more convenient. Harihar fort is located in the Trimbakeshwar range of Nashik district and is well known for its unique triangular shape, which makes it stand out from most other forts in Maharashtra. As we climbed to the top, we were rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding Sahyadri range, including nearby peaks like Ajneri Fort and Bhaskargad

The trek took us around 1 to 1.5 hours, and since we went via Harshewadi, the climb felt manageable and enjoyable. Traveling in a group of five kept our costs very low, making it a perfect budget-friendly getaway. After the trek, we enjoyed a delicious, home-style Maharashtrian meal at a small hotel near the base — simple dishes like pithla-bhakri that made the experience feel even more local and comforting.

🛕 Attractions on the fort: There is a Hanuman temple, Shiva temple, water tanks, a small pond, and a small palace (Rajwada) where one can stay overnight with permission.

🎒 What we carried: Water bottles, trekking shoes, snacks, sunglasses, caps, and a first-aid kit.
Camping info: Camping is allowed with permission, but not on top of the fort—you can camp on the plateau before the steps begin.
🌿 Nature experience: I absolutely loved the natural beauty of the area; the green hills, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere made the trek memorable.

Overall, this was one of the most exciting and refreshing treks I’ve done, and I highly recommend visiting Harihar Fort to anyone looking to combine nature, thrill, and a bit of challenge — all in one unforgettable trip.

The Sudden Rain and Our Journey Back From the Salon

Sudden Rain and Our Journey Back From the Salon

Today, my sister has to visit Divine Beauty Salon Satara because her skin was badly damaged from tanning. The salon we planned to visit requires prior appointments, so I booked one early in the morning for 1:00 PM. We reached the salon at Pratapganj peth, Satara by,12.45 PM. There was a big crowd, but since we had an appointment, we were called in right away.

She wanted to get a facial, manicure, and pedicure, which would take quite some time. So, I stepped out to finish some work and returned after two hours. By then, all her treatments were done, and we paid the bill. It was 3 when we stepped outside - and suddenly, it started raining heavily.

We has neither an umbrella nor a raincoat because we had come on a scooter. We waited outside the salon hoping the rain would stop, but after an hour, it showed no sign of slowing down.

Finally, we decided to leave, completely drenched. The rain was so heavy that I couldn't see the road clearly while driving the scooter, so I had to stop a few times. After a short break, we continued, but halfway through the journey, the rain started pouring again. There was no option but to keep going, soaking wet finally reached home around 5 PM.

The rain came on suddenly and heavily, but honestly, getting soaked in the rain was a fun experience!

A Memorable Road Trip from Satara to Matheran – Discovering Nature’s Serenity

 A Memorable Road Trip

 Satara to Matheran

Starting early morning from Satara, I embarked on a scenic road trip to Matheran, enjoying the fresh cool air and open roads. The journey through Pune and Lonavala took about 6-7 hours, with breathtaking views of lush green mountains and winding ghats along the way. A quick stop near Khopoli for some spicy vada pav and hot tea was a perfect pitstop. Reaching Neral as the sun began to set, I found the famous toy train to Matheran was not operating, so we drove till Dasturi Point and then continued on foot and horseback to the vehicle-free hill station.

Matheran’s pollution-free environment and peaceful atmosphere were refreshing. Exploring spots like Charlotte Lake, Eco Point, and Panorama Point, the panoramic views of the Sahyadri ranges were simply mesmerizing. The local market offered beautiful handmade souvenirs, and enjoying hot bhaji and korfdi juice in the evening wrapped up the day perfectly. Matheran offers many budget-friendly resorts for overnight stays, making it an ideal weekend getaway. If you’re planning a trip from Satara to Matheran, this nature-filled journey will surely leave you with unforgettable memories.

Wandering in Gujarat: From White Deserts to Sacred Temples

                          Wandering in Gujarat

From White Deserts to Sacred Temples

Gujarat – a state where every path tells a story, every town holds a secret, and every sunset leaves you awestruck. My journey started with the magical White Rann of Kutch, a breathtaking salt desert that looked like snow under the moonlight. The calmness of the land, paired with the distant sound of folk tunes and the ever-smiling locals, made the moment feel timeless.

Next, I found myself admiring the architectural wonder of the Sun Temple at Modhera, glowing in the golden rays of the afternoon sun. A few days later, I stood at the sacred Somnath Temple, watching the waves crash against its foundation—a symbol of faith standing strong for centuries.

Between destinations, I treated myself to crispy Kathi rolls, warm Gujarati theplas, and countless cups of sweet chai. The bustling markets, full of mirror-embroidered clothes and handcrafted souvenirs, were a paradise for a culture lover like me.

This wasn’t just a trip—it was a journey into the heart of Gujarat’s culture, spirituality, and warmth. I left with my bags full and my heart fuller.

Local Trails: A Simple Walk to the Veggie Market

Local Trails: A Simple Walk to the Veggie Market

Not all journeys need long roads or packed bags. Some begin with a simple thought — “Let’s go buy some fresh veggies.”

This morning, I stepped out with a cloth bag and a light heart, walking down the familiar lanes of Satara. The sun was just rising, casting a golden glow on the sleepy town. Shops were slowly opening, and the aroma of hot chai from roadside stalls filled the air.

The local market was alive with colors — fresh green coriander, red tomatoes, shiny brinjals, and the earthy smell of just-picked spinach. Every vendor had a story, a smile, and a loud call for customers. Bargaining was on, but so was laughter and chatter.

While picking the best vegetables, I realized — this wasn’t just a grocery run. It was a small travel moment, a local trail full of life, color, and connection. Every walk around our neighborhood has the magic of discovery — if we walk slowly enough to notice.

Next time you go out for something simple, look around. You might be traveling closer to home than you think.

A Trip to Shendre For My Friend's Wedding - An unforgettable Day

A Trip to Shendre For My  Friend's Wedding

Today was my close school friend's wedding. It was held in a big hall in the village of Shendre, near Satara. Since the wedding was in the afternoon ad she had invited me with great enthusiasm, I took leave from my office.

the wedding was at 3 PM, so my friend and I started getting ready around 2 PM. On the way, we stopped at a petrol pump as my car was low on fuel, and filled rupees 100 worth of petrol - just for the trip.

We then visited a gift shop ad bought a beautiful Radha-Krushna idol as a present. On our way to the venue, we stopped for darshan at the Ganapati temple in kurneshwar. after that, we continues the journey.

The weather turned rainy, so we drove quickly. By the time we reached, the wedding ceremony had just finished. We met the bride, gave her our wishes and gift, and clicked some photos with her.

Nearby, there was a famous Tuljabhavani temple. We went there for darshan, sat or a while, and then headed back home.

A truly unforgettable day filled with love, friendship, and beautiful memories.

A Day at the Dog and Cat Shelter in Jakatwadi

 A Sunday Well Spent

 Jakatwadi Animal Shelter

Today was Sunday, so I decided to visit the dog and cat shelter in Jakatwadi. Jakatwadi is about 5 to 6 kilometers from Satara. My friend and I went there on my scooty. On the way, we carried food for the cats and dogs.

When we reached the shelter and went inside, we saw that animals were kept tied up. The cat and dog shelter were separate. We first went to the cat shelter. As soon as we entered, the cats got so excited that they started jumping on us. They were really happy to see us.

We had brought food for them, so we gave it to them. All the cats ate heartily. After eating, they started playing with us. There were different breeds cats there - Percian and local(Indian) cats too. Around 25 to 30 cats were in the shelter.

We could hear a lot of barking from the dog shelter, so we went there next. We gave the dogs the food we had brought for them. They too were very happy and ate until they were full. Seeing them so satisfied gave us a great sense of happiness.

As we were about to leave, the dogs and cats started following us. Then one of the caretakes at the shelter came and took the pets back inside. I felt like the animals didn't want us to leave them and go. Still, we left the shelter and returned to my home.

Stumbled Upon a Famous Tea Shop During My Travels

A Sweet Sip of Love at "Premacha Chaha"

Yesterday evening, I had to go to buy some thig, so my mother adn I went out together on the scooty. While we were on our way, we took the route that goes past Rajwada. As were passing by, I noticed a tea shop there. Its name was "Premacha Chaha"(Tea of Love) - a very unique and different name. The shop was quite crowded, which clearly indicated that the tea must be special and have a different taste. So, my mother and I decided to stop and try it out.
The shop offered two types of tea - jaggery tea and regular tea. We chose the regular tea, thinking we'd at least try that first. We ordered two cups, and each cup cost 15 rupees. When I drank the tea, it tasted amazing - truly special. And it started raining while we were there, which made the whole atmosphere even more enjoyable. Having hot tea in that kind of weather was a different kind of joy. The tea was strong and perfectly made.
After finishing our tea, we paid the bill, picked up the items we needed, and headed back home.

From Satara to Pune's Tulshibaug : A Traveler Experience

From Satara to Pune's Tulshibaug

I had to go shopping in Tulshi Baug, Pune, as my dad's wedding anniversary was approaching and I needed to buy a few things for the occasions. So, I decided to go to Pune for shopping. My sister came along with me.
We left early in the morning at 7 AM because we were travelling by bus, and it was a Sunday - Sundays are usually very crowded, so we wanted to reach early. The bus journey took around 2 to 2.5 hours.

Tulshi Baug

Once we reached, we first ate a little something and then headed straight to Tulshi Baug for shopping. When we got there, we were a bit confused about what to buy and what not to, as there were so many options.
We started with clothes shops. It took us a long time to choose clothes because they had a beautiful variety and we couldn't what to pick. Finally, we bought the clothes we liked, and then I went to another shop to get matching jewelry. After that, we went to get matching sandals too.
Little by little, we ended up doing quite a lot of shopping. By evening, we were really hungry, so we went to a hotel, had some coffee and snacks. After that, we headed back to Satara.
Overall, our shopping experience at Tulshi Baug was wonderful. We got everything we needed at reasonable prices and were very satisfied with our purchases.

From my home to the Garden

From my home to the Garden

Today, I finished work early, so I come home sooner than usual. After I got home, my elder sister's daughter said to me that she wanted to go to the garden. There's a kids garden near our house - just 10 minutes away. It's located near Rajwada Chowpatty.

I told her I'd take her there, and after freshening up, we walked to the garden together. Once we reached, I let her go on different rides. There was also a program organized for small children, which I showed her.

Right in front of the garden is Rajwada Chowpatty. She was really hungry, so we both went to get something to eat. She wanted to eat a Kacchi dabeli, and I got a dosa for myself. We took our food as a parcel and went back to the garden to eat it.

By then, it was 8 in the evening - the garden's closing time. So we left and went to a kids clothing shop for a bot of shopping. I bought her a lovely dress ad matching earrings ad hair clips. After that, headed home.

Journey Of Joy : A Waterpark Day Out

A Fun & Memorable Trip to the Water Park

Our family had planned a fun day out at a water park near Borgav. We left home around 9 AM on out two-wheelers, all set with sunglasses, sunscreen, and an extra pair of clothes. The road to the park was quite rough and full of potholes, but we had no choice but to continue.

On reaching Borgav, we first saw Janki Agro Water park but skipped it since we'd been there before. Instead , we headed to Anand Krushi Paryatan Kendra. Unfortunately, we didn't know prior boking was required, and it was fully booked. We requested entry but weren't allowed, so we booked the 3 PM slot.

With time to spare, we went to a temple in Shendre nearby. On the wat, we picked up vadapav for everyone. We had a peaceful darshan at the temple and relaxed for a while. By 2.15, we left for the water park again.

This time we were allowed inside, and everyone had a blast! Playing in the water was so much fun. Our slot lasted till 8 PM, so we began wrapping up by 7 and went for dinner. As it started raining, we headed back home and reached safely.

This trip turned out to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable ones, and we're definitely planning another one soon!

A trip to the Satara Ghat in the first Rain : A Memorable Day in the Lap Of Nature

A Mini trip to the Satara Ghat in the first Rain !!

I thought it wouldn't rain much, but it poured heavily. Still, it felt amazing. I felt like going out somewhere in the rain, so I called my friend. She also said, 'Let's go out somewhere in the rain!"

So, we decided to visit the Kas Ghat. We both left on a scooty. Riding through the rain and getting drenched was so much fun! We got completely soaked on the way to the ghat, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We clicked photo and recorded videos in the rain.

Later, it started raining even more heavily, so we went and sat under a shed for some time. After a while, the rain shoed down. Then I said, "Let's eat something to in this rain".

Just a little ahead of the ghat, there's a hotel that serves really tasty food. So we ordered hot bhajis(fritters) and coffee. Once our order arrived, we ate to heart's content. Eating hot bhajis in the rain has a joy of its own!

After Finishing our food, the rain had picked up again a bit, so we stayed there for a little while. There was also lightening in the sky. Once the rain lessened again, we left for home.

But today was such a fun and memorable day!

I love the rain, and I especially enjoy getting drenched in it. This was a short experience, but for me, it will always be memorable.

A Peaceful Spot with a View in Satara

Char Bhinti

Today, I felt like going out, so my friend and I - just the two of us - decided to visit Char Bhinti, a famous tourist spot in Satara. We left around 7 Pm. On the way, we pass  Rajwada Chowpatty, where the food stalls caught our eye. We couldn't resist, so we picked up the 'All India Special Bhel' to enjoy later.

It takes about 15 minutes to reach Char Bhinti from my house. While going up, there's a steep climb, which we crosses and finally reached the top. Char Bhinti is a historical martyr memorial, known as the Veer Smarak, located on the way to Ajinkyatara Fort. There's no entry fee, and parking is free too.

On Sundays, you'll often find cultural programs happening there - singing, dancing, and more. From the top, you get a beautiful view of the entire city of Satara, Which is truly worth seeing.

We enjoyed the view and then sat down to eat the bhel we had brought. Eating there in the calm atmosphere and cool evening breeze was a different kind of experience. We spent about an hour there. Since it was getting late, we decided to return home.

We visit this place often because it always feel so refreshing. The peaceful environment and cool breeze make it special. If you haven't been there yet, I highly recommend visiting at least once.

Journey to Ghatghar

During a holiday, my sister and I went on a spontaneous trip. While roaming near Bamnoli, we discovered a less-known but beautiful village called Ghatghar.

Located just ahead of Bamnoli, Ghatghar is surrounded by mountains ad nature, and offers a peaceful, crowd-free expereicne. From the edge of the road, you get a stunning view of the Koyna Backwaters. The natural beauty and calmness of this place make it feel like paradise.

There's a nearby hilltop where you can walk and enjoy panoramic views of the area. The best time to visit is early morning or evening, when the light enhances the scenery even more.

We traveled from satara - Kas Pathar - Bamnoli - Ghatghar using our private vehicle. Some roads were rough, but the view made it worth it. of you're planning a 1-2 day trip, basic stay options are available nearby. However, mobile network is very limited, so expect a break from your phone.

Ancient Temple New Experiences : A Visit to Yevteshwar Temple Satara

 Ancient Temple New Experiences

A Visit to Yevteshwar Temple Satara

Since it was a Sunday holiday, my friends and I decided to visit Yevteshwar Temple. We went there by scooter. Yevteshwar is an ancient temple located near satara, and it takes 1.5 hours to reach.

As we entered the temple, we were greeted by lush greenery, serene atmosphere, and fresh open air - all of which brought a deep sense of peace to the mind. The temple also houses a shrine of Lord Mahadev. From here, one can also visit nearby holy sites like Sajjangad, Meruling, and Jarandeshwar.

You can see the city of Satara and the majestic Ajinkyatara Fort from this spot. My visit was truly beautiful; the spiritual vibe in the temple was overwhelming. Many devotees travel long distances to seek blessings here. During the holy month of Shravan, the temple becomes epsecially crowded with devotees coming for Lord Mahadev's darshan. The weather during that time is also very pleasant and cool.

While many visitors come in their private vehicles, there's also a bus from satara to Yevteshwar that takes around 30 minutes. Some devotees specifically visit just for the darshan, drawn by the spiritual energy of this ancient place.

Overall, my experience at Yevteshwar was very peaceful an fulfilling. If you haven't been there yet, I highly recommend visiting this beautiful and divine temple at least once.

Climbing the Mountain : The Sinhagad Fort Trek

 The Sinhagad Fort Trek

I really love trekking, so I planned another one - this time to Sinhagad Fort. Sinhagad Fort is located about 30 Km from Pune and is popular trekking spot. The history of this fort is quite fascinating, which is many people visit to learn about it.

I went with my friends. We started our trek from Atarkwadi village, which is near Donje Phata. It took us around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the top. The trek is quite easy, especially for beginners. Some of the steps are a bit sleep, but we managed them well.

We had carried snacks, water bottles, sunglasses, and sunscreen with us. The best time to visit. Sinhagad is during the monsoon(July to September) when the greenery is at its best, or during winter (November to February) when the weather is cool and pleasant. Trekking is summer is not recommended due to the heat.

Some of the main attractions at the fort include the samadhi (memorial) of Tanhaji Malusare, a gret Maratha warrior, and the Kalyan Darwaja, a historic gate where battles were once fought. From the top, we also got a clear view of the Khadakwasla Dam.

After the trek, we were really hungry, so we went to a local village hotel and enjoyed a traditional Maharashtrian meal of pitla-bhakari and thecha. After eating, we started our journey back home.

My trekking experience was amazing. The weather  was fantastic and I felt  a special kind of energy while trekking. Overall, it was a lot of fun!

Lonavala in a Day : One Fun-Filled Friends Trip

 One Fun-Filled Friends

 Lonavala Trip

We planned a one-day trip to Lonavala with 8 friends and booked two 4 wheelers. We left at 8 Am, enjoying music, singing, and clicking photos on the way. We took a short break at a outside stall and reached Lonavala in about 2-3 hours.

Our first was Bhushi Dam, where we had a great time clicking group photos and enjoying the monsoon vibes. Then, we headed to Lonavala Market for breakfast - some had vada pav and misal pav, while others enjoyed South Indian food.

We visited Tiger Point and Lion's Point next. Though both had similar view, the sunset at lion's point was amazing.

By 2 PM, we were hungry again and had lunch at a roadside dhaba, where we all enjoyed different types of veg thalis. Later, we went to Lonavala Lake or Pawna Lake for a short rest and some peaceful boating.

Around 4 PM, we returned to the market for shopping and bought Lonavala's famous Chikki. At 6 PM, we began our journey back home, still having fun in the car with music and laughter.

Thought it was just a one-day trip, it was a full of joy, nature and memories.                                           Lonavala is a must visit!
